This is Arto's first solo album. Here he tackles a wide array of tunes, half of which are his own compositions. In typical Finnish multi-instrumental fashion, Arto stretches out for us on nyckelharpa and mandolins. He even lets loose with the voice box, a rare retreat as it's usually reserved for behind the scenes witticisms (extra dry). Here also, Arto opens up to express himself in ways not previously possible in band situations, ably assisted by his many friends, some of the best players in Finland and Scandinavia.
